Cover vs. Cover: P.S. I like you by Kasie West

In our first monthly matchup between book covers, the US and Indonesian covers of Katie West's "P.S. I Like You" duke it out!

"While spacing out in chemistry class, Lily scribbles some of her favorite song lyrics onto her desk. The next day, she finds that someone has continued the lyrics on the desk and added a message to her. Intrigue!"  - Goodreads

The librarian in me says "I dunno, I've seen this plot line before," but Kristin at Super Space Chic wrote a very enthusiastic post about this book and won me over. I know several students who I think would enjoy this story, but I can think of a few who will immediately mock the US cover. One in particular will humorously rip it to shreds because this year she "doesn't like real people faces on (her) book covers". (This is what I deal with, guys.) Speaking as someone who hasn't read the book yet, photo booth props on a park bench doesn't really seem to jive with the synopsis of the book. The Indonesian cover is fun and trendy in a way that relates to the story: doodle style with music and chemistry images.

Which do you prefer, the US or Indonesian cover? And does it matter to you if the cover is representative of the story, or just pretty eye candy that adds to the enjoyment?
